Art Editor: Making a visual statement. Pouring a love of contemporary art and design into a creative vision. Handling submissions from artists and photographers, and commissioning emerging talent.
Illustration Editor: Collaborating with the Fiction Editor and Poetry Editor. Bringing stories and poems to life. Illuminating ideas. Making the website stand out and the journal immersive.
The Arts Foundry is at the intersection of art and writing… exploring the points at which creative practices collide. Breaking down barriers, encouraging meaningful exchanges, working together to:
- Encourage new fiction, poetry, art, life writing and essays
- Feature strong narratives, groundbreaking poetry, and bold contemporary art
- Publish nonfiction and blog posts on contemporary issues
- Work on a voluntary and nonprofit basis

Louise Palfreyman is writer-in-residence at the University of Wolverhampton where she is hosting sessions for students on short fiction, self-editing, and how to bring writing into your artistic practice. She is also working with community groups and local archive teams to bring together narratives from the diverse population of the Black Country.
