About

The Black Country Arts Foundry was set up in October 2017 by writer Louise Palfreyman to celebrate regional arts and promote new artistic and literary talent. Our team is made up of people who live or study in the Black Country.

Since our launch, it has been our pleasure to publish a host of new writers of fiction and poetry from the Black Country and beyond, and to cover art exhibitions, research projects, and individual artists.

The project is part of the Artists Access to Art Colleges Scheme (AA2A) and Louise was the first writer-in-residence at the University of Wolverhampton.

We appeared at Wolverhampton Literature Festival in January, and have read at local events in the region, including the excellent Permission to Speak in Stourbridge. More events coming soon…
